A special event in my life was one of my high school basketball games. It was last year, my freshman year of high school. Before a match we always train three times a week, but this time these three training sessions were one of the most difficult training sessions ever. There were too many resistance exercises which include; running suicides, jumping the ladder. The reason it was so difficult now is because it was the rival high school game. What made it worse was when we had to abandon everything we were doing, including jump shots and rebounding practice, and go to the baseline and start running after we were done with all the other drills. We went back and forth back and forth, bending over to reach the line, we did all resistance training for 5 – 7 minutes 5 times during training, which doesn't seem like a long time, but when you are very tired from training playing basketball and then go condition yourself by running, it will kill you. The pain after training was like I had been hit by a truck. The next day, after school, I went directly to the locker room, put on my warm-up clothes and went to the cinema room, to analyze the rival team's playing style and eat our food before the game starts. However, before we started watching the film, the coaches announced the starting lineup and for the first time in my high school career my name was called in the starting lineup. He was at the small forward position, which is good for my height, I was a 5”10 freshman at the time. Once the film was over we went back to the locker room and some of my teammates congratulated me but others told me not to mess up. It made me very nervous. After the pre-game warm-up, the pre-game shots, it was game time. Remember... half the paper... and me. My sudden fear that the ball wouldn't reach the basket turned into joy when my teammates congratulated me so excited and happy and I also received compliments when I was leaving the court from the people who were there watching the ball. magic happen, including my parents smiling and my brother at the time not knowing what happened so he didn't care. When the excitement of the game died down, I was proud of what I had accomplished. I played an important role in contributing to my team's victory in the first start and I also saw my score at the end of the match. I totaled 11 points, 10 rebounds, 1 steal and 3 blocks. The feeling of those results and how proud I had made my team and all the people watching that day, including my family and friends, made it one of the greatest feelings of my life. That's why it was one of the special events of my life.
