World War I was a war that would change the way countries fought their battles for the rest of time. Large pre-war economies allowed countries to create technology and weapons that would create more damage than ever seen before. There were more countries and better technology which made this war the most brutal in the history of the world. It introduced things like airplanes, tanks, grenades, automatic weapons, and the horrific trench warfare. This was such a destructive war that President Wilson stayed out of it and kept the United States neutral, resulting in an economic boom resulting from arms sales to European countries; until it came time for the United States to get involved. Money, technology and friendship between countries would end up in a horrible mess that would scare the world forever. World War I was not only larger than any other war the world had experienced, but also revolutionary in the nature of warfare.
