Also, in the play he is portrayed as the popular boy that every girl likes and as every boy wants to be like In The Taming of the Shrew their conversation ends up continuing to insult each other. Petruchio is still trying to convince Kate that he is in love with her. Kate continues to keep her guard up, saying, “Such a witty mother! Otherwise his son is stupid” Also in The Taming of the Shrew the characters marry someone who is in the same class as them. On the other hand, in The Shrew'd the characters' conversations end with them kissing passionately. Kate fell for Petruchio's silly pranks.
