INTRODUCTION Since the industrial revolution, energy has become the most essential thing in our life and cannot be separated within human life. Human dependence on energy has caused the rapid increase in energy consumption, most of which is provided by natural gas. There has been a lot of talk recently about a controversial natural gas extraction method called hydraulic fracturing or fracking. Although it seems recent, this technique has been known since the 1940s. Nowadays, the United States has become the largest hydraulic fracturing industries; over 60% of oil and gas is extracted using this method. It has become a booming phenomenon in recent decades and has been repeated more than 1 million times [1].
