Topic > Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: Gurren-Hen - 851

Congratulations! Gainax! Bravo! You may be wondering why I'm starting this review with so much praise, but is it praise? Maybe it's cleverly placed sarcasm just to mask the facade of this show? Well, as much as I like to give bad reviews and just make fun of the way a story presents itself, Tengen patches Gurren Lagann: Gurren-Hen, also known as Gurren Lagann, is simply a fantastic film; only if you decide not to take it seriously. If you decided to thoroughly analyze this show from the inside, you would be a little disappointed. Gurren Lagann is simply mindless fun with no hidden agenda. “Human beings are desperate creatures who hide underground and hide from the upper world for partial safety. The desolate wasteland of the surface, no longer remembered by most of humanity, has been invaded and ruled by savage beings called "beastmen" for far longer than humanity has existed. While there are some who fight these “beast-men,” humanity stands no chance against their “Gunmen” (pilotable robotic humanoids who have been weaponized for military use). This is the story of a man who has yet to fulfill his destiny. Simon, Kamina, and all their friends fought on the surface to gain the long-lost freedom they once had. After stealing an enemy "Gunmen" from the enemy they vow to defeat and finding another beneath the Earth's surface, the pair of heroes join forces to create an even more powerful Gunman they name "Gurren Lagann" and fight to defeat the ruthless ruler called the "Spiral King" and restore the freedom they had once lost. "Sounds pretty interesting, right? Well, that's only half of what the show has to offer, because subsequent story arcs confront the characters with something even bigger... middle of the paper... last ; it was really well done considering most of the voice acting in other Japanese shows performed in English also disappoints me because it's made up of opera and hip hop music which I'm really a fan of the atmosphere for this movie, whether it's a slow dramatic scene or a balls to the wall action scene, there was always music that fit well into a scene, I would recommend people to watch this movie not just because it's my favorite, but because it shows a fulfilling story of heroism and wit Showing the funniest and most interesting characters you can feel for while still being amazed at how well the animation flows and the music matches perfectly to every scene. Without a doubt Studio Gainax has made a wonderful piece for everyone to enjoy, whether you like animation, storytelling or just music.
