What is happiness? Where does happiness come from? In the article “Geography of Bliss” by Eric Weiner, the author talks about the geography behind happiness. The second article is “Be cool to the pizza dude” by Sarah Adams, the author talks about the five principles underlying happiness. The two articles discuss happiness and although Geography of Bliss they say that happiness is brought by geography and “be cool to the pizza dude” says that happiness lives within us. Both articles agree that there is no geography behind happiness, it is a universal happiness and happiness is found everywhere. The five principles that Sarah Adam talks about in her article are humility, forgiveness, empathy, honor and equality. According to Adams, "You give happiness and in return you receive happiness back." The first principle is to have humility and forgiveness. The author is trying to say that if the pizza chef cuts you off it's okay because he is in a hurry to deliver the pizza, we should learn to forgive. The second principle is the practice of empathy.
