Topic > My Challenges as a Systems Engineer at Salesforce.com

Cloud computing has fundamentally changed the way businesses and consumers leverage technology on both a professional and personal level. Unlike traditional solutions, cloud-based solutions have not only accelerated the process of implementing and executing IT processes, but also reduced the ownership burden for businesses. My experience at Infosys Ltd. introduced me to this aspect of Cloud Computing and gave me the opportunity to work with one of the most innovative companies in this field, Salesforce.com. My challenges as a Systems Engineer, working on Salesforce.com Level 3 Release Management Team for Motorola Solutions (Customer), including developing, enhancing and implementing features on the Force.com platform. Creating Apex classes, triggers, and visual force pages, as well as devising workflow rules and approval processes for user applications on a daily basis, have helped me hone my programming skills and deepen my knowledge of APEX, VisualForce, jQuery, JavaScript, and HTML 5. The addition of the responsibility of assembling and analyzing data using reports, dashboards, and graphical tools such as Apex Data Loader solidified my concepts of data mining and warehousing. Meeting these challenges comes from the realization that, in addition to offering unlimited possibilities for scalability and virtualization, the potential of the cloud-based platform lies in emerging as the dominant vehicle in real-time web and application development. The ease with which you can develop and manage ERP, HRM and SCM applications on the Cloud fascinated me and solidified my belief that the Cloud platform will be the future of application development. Additionally, I have attended seminars and workshops on Big Data innovation. and “Big Data & Cloud Computing” at Infosys improved m...... middle of paper ...... academically oriented workshops like 3D-Adobe Maya and UNIX Programming under CSI, I was instrumental in winning many inter-college cricket tournaments as captain of my team. These activities helped me not only improve my interpersonal and team management skills, but also develop lasting relationships with colleagues and professors. I look forward to becoming an integral part of technical communities such as The Dining Philosophers and Chair's Advisory Board, where I will constructively use the technical and organizational skills I have acquired over the past few years to contribute to similar events. I assured the University that they would find in me a deserving and diligent student and looked forward to being part of this highly reputed institution. I thank the admissions committee for the time invested in evaluating my application.
