The story Everything Attached to Him is the sweet story of a young couple who are struggling at the beginning of building their own family. The young person in the relationship is discovering the harsh reality of sacrificing hobbies or activities for the people they love. It is made clear throughout the story that family has very little value towards their own lives, and this is another key factor in how they struggle as a young family. The man and his wife live under a dentist's office in a tiny apartment and don't even have a room for their little girl. The family is new to the world of parenting and when the precious baby cries all night, the mother is extremely worried about her son's health. In this part of the story it becomes clear to the reader that the man will have to sacrifice the hunting trip that he too was looking forward to. Carter interprets this story in an interesting way, starting and ending with a conversation of the little girl, who is now older, conversing with her father about the story depicted. The introduction and conclusion of this text, Everything Stuck to Him, give the text a lighthearted touch; it shows how the father and daughter relationship is strong, how a happy life is suggested to the family and it shows how the father/daughter relationship has become solid thanks to the skipping of time intervals in the story. The daughter in Carver's short story text, Everything Stuck to Him is older at the beginning of the text and obviously has a strong friendship with her father due to the actions they describe throughout the story. There are clear facts that demonstrate how the daughter and father have remained in contact over the years, however, since she is... in the center of the card... the narrator's reassurance, who kept repeating how much they loved each other , had kept the reader's interest in conciseness alive. At the end of the story there was a lighthearted moment that was important to the reader's thinking. They had stopped arguing, the boy had returned to being with the love of his life and they had shared a moment of laughter. Nothing could have worked as perfectly as their fight went, it gave the reader a sense of hope in true love. The final frame where the daughter and the man recall the memory of the obviously dead woman was also a touching moment in the minds of the audience. It showed the true love that the young man and young woman had shared, and how this had blossomed into a love that had lasted throughout his life, and continued to influence the man while he was old and only after his wife had died..
