Here and There Packing your life and belongings is a difficult task to do. My family lived in Apple Valley, Minnesota, until the week before my seventh birthday. My parents told my younger brother and I that we were moving to Hastings, Minnesota. As a child I had no idea where it was. I was excited about this new experience. I have always been interested in travelling. When we arrived in Hastings, it looked nothing like my old town. I didn't know anyone, I just knew that I lived in the middle of the woods. Moving to another city isn't just about buying a new house, it's about making new friends at a new school and living a different lifestyle. At first I was hesitant about moving to a new house. Most of all, I was happy that I no longer had to share a room with my younger brother. Sharing a room for 6 years was long enough for me. As a child I was so happy to be able to paint and decorate my room however I wanted. My family went from living in a small two-story house to a large four-level house.
