The theoretical orientation mainly reflected the works of Carl Rogers, Karen Horney, William Glasser, Alfred Adler and many other theories. An important aspect of my theoretical position is that people define reality based on their life experiences. It is this personal perception of reality that governs behavior regardless of the facts as others see them. Perceptions of reality are based on people's view of themselves, the world they live in, and the meaning that events have for them. Everything a person does is reasonable and necessary at the time the person is doing it. People are at their best under certain circumstances; if people knew in a moment how to behave more effectively, they would do it. I consider human beings as beings who are such that they can enjoy life. This statement indicates that all people were meant to have a fulfilling life free from emotional problems. All people have the right to intellectual, physical, emotional and spiritual fulfillment, as they desire, without all the constraints that society imposes on them. People are responsible for their own existence, being free to choose. They are responsible for the consequences of their actions. Each person sculpts their own destiny and essence, their interiority is the product of their own actions. The way a person lives his/her life determines who he/she is. The existence of people is an active and continuous process in which people define their own being. Personally I believe that everyone should have important values in their life. I believe that values are a set of rules and regulations that an individual creates for themselves as a guide to how they would like to live their life and also how they would like others to see them. As a person, we are… middle of the paper… choice is based on personal preference; it is not determined by racial characteristics. It is often partly determined by language preferences, religion, lifestyle or place of birth and can be modified by individual life experiences. In conclusion, Gestalt therapy has opened up many creative and useful innovations in the theory and practice of psychotherapy. This therapy will help clients gain a better understanding of how their emotional and physical bodies are connected. Understanding the internal self is key to understanding actions, reactions and behaviors. Emphasize that it also helps the client take the first step towards this awareness so that they can recognize and accept these patterns. Through a journey of self-discovery, this form of therapy also allows the client to acquire the skills necessary to deal with stressful situations
