Focus on the familyFamily theory; Developmental theory: based on Erikson's eight stages of psychosocial development. It focuses on how a family changes over time and requires planning to adapt to change effectively (Hockenberry et al, 2009). On February 12, 2014, I made a home visit to observe the progress and facilitate any necessary teaching regarding BT's newborn. The house is modern and spacious with two floors and three bedrooms. It is located on a cul-de-sac that includes four or six other houses. The dead end is circular and allows vehicle access only from one end. There were no visible safety issues in the approach to the house. The neighborhood was very quiet and there were no signs of neighbors. Upon my arrival, I was immediately introduced to BT's mother and nephew. Through casual conversation, I learned that he receives a lot of support from family members. For example, when she came home from the hospital, her mother had cleaned the house and gone shopping to get everything she needed. BT expressed gratitude several times during my visit for the support he regularly receives from his mother. Additionally, her in-laws live next door and are available to provide assistance and support whenever needed as well. Upon entering the BT house, I immediately noticed that it was under construction. There were walls yet to be painted, safety railings on the stairs were missing and window treatments were missing. Her husband explained that he built the house from scratch. Eventually I was taken on a tour of the house. The nursery, which was initially BT and her husband's bedroom, is finished. However, I noticed a slight temperature difference in the nursery which is most likely related to a crack in the center...of the paper...symptoms and complications that can spread throughout a woman's life. It has been shown that diet and exercise alone can improve the dysfunction associated with PCOS, even when weight loss is minimal. There are also many different fertility and symptom reduction treatments that can help reverse the progress of this disorder. In order to improve patient outcomes, an evidence-based practice should be initiated to have a more informative understanding of the prevention, treatment, diagnoses, causes, and natural history of PCOS. This will better help women understand their reproductive options and status. In the case of BT, before attempting to have your second child, you should discuss this disorder with your doctor to better understand your reproductive health and ways to reduce the symptoms associated with this disorder..
