Throughout my school career I have taken care to watch my grades. I find a way to work around my busy schedule to finish homework and practice. I dedicate myself to passing the lessons, putting one hundred and ten percent on the pitch or on the platform. I have become very passionate about the guard, the techniques and the family I create. My academic qualifications are high, I participate in other extracurricular activities, I am very passionate about guard duty and my future plans include college and definitely guard duty. I am academically qualified for the scholarship because my weighted GPA is 3.9 and my unweighted GPA is 3.3. All of my classes are honors or AP, except for some of my electives. My honors courses carry a larger workload than regular classes. They also include a higher standard that must be continuously tested and guaranteed. An important circumstance was when my father lost his job and we went into foreclosure. It was difficult to concentrate on school with the chaos at home. I overcame this challenge by staying with friends at school and focusing my free time on after-school activities. At school I am very involved in extracurricular, scholastic, recreational and civic activities. As a school activity, I am a member of our school's National Honor Society, or NHS, which accepts the brightest in the school. In the NHS we help the school and community with different projects in any way we can. We are dedicated to helping people in need or a little extra help. Another activity I participate in is the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps, or AFJROTC, which can be considered a civic activity because we have a mission to "develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community." To carry out this mission......half of paper......c to receive it. Having a WGAZ scholarship means a lot to me; it gives me hope to have a future on guard. I need this scholarship to have a better future in the guard and I will be able to enjoy the rest of my life with passion. Winter guard is the artistic sport without which my life would be so different and unoriginal. The Winter Guard Arizona Scholarship is a wonderful opportunity for guards who need extra help in life. I believe I deserve this scholarship because I have the academic qualifications, I am very involved in my schools' extracurricular activities, I am very passionate and dedicated to guarding, and my future plans include college and definitely guarding for as long as possible. WGAZ is a group I want to be involved with for the rest of my life as long as I can be part of a winter guard team; I really hope I can receive this scholarship.
