Linde is Nora's childhood friend. Christine Linde is a woman with a very warm heart. Mrs. Linde lives a very poor life and is a widow. Her husband died and she had to take care of her two brothers. Linde wanted to have a life with Krogstad and wanted to help him raise his two young sons. Linde seems like a strong woman but in reality she is weak and needs a man in her life. Dr. Rank is a family friend of the Helmers. Dr. Rank does not care about the opinions of others and is very secretive about himself. We can see later that he is very accepting of his fate.
