An Introduction and Application of Cyclic VoltammetryIntroductionWhen considering electroanalytical methods in analytical chemistry, there are a wide variety of ways to think about. For example, there are many voltammetry parameters that can be considered in the application such as cyclic voltammetry, square wave voltammetry, linear scan voltammetry, ladder voltammetry. All these methods are widely used in different aspects of analytical methods in modern society. For example, using voltammetry you can judge the surface reaction process of the electrode, the reversibility or irreversibility of the electrode reaction, the characteristics of the catalytic reaction of cyclic voltammetry, and setting a condition for organic synthesis. Additionally, cyclic voltammetry uses current and potential data for analysis. Therefore, using voltammetric methods is a common and useful method nowadays. Method and Setup Cyclic voltammetry consists of three electrodes, which include the reference electrode, working electrode and counter electrode, the first figure of which is shown below. To obtain conductivity, it is normal to put electrolyte into the test solution. The mixture of the electrolyte and the working electrode can determine the value of the potential. It usually has platinum or gold as the working electrode. Additionally, the working electrode can provide results when cyclic voltammetry needs to be performed at high scan rates. Since the auxiliary electrode, called counter electrode, can be easily led,...... to the center of the paper... by means of the calibration curve through the current and concentration in the Nernst system. Conclusion In modern society, there are several analytical methods to analyze chemical compounds such as HPLC, GC, MS. However, specifically for redox reaction, it is widely used through electroanalytical methods which are cyclic voltammetry. It can be used in electrode absorption phenomenon and electrochemical reaction products. It is commonly used in organic compounds and mechanisms of biological materials for research on oxidation-reduction reactions.Referencetextbookppthttp://baike.baidu.com/view/921272.htmhttps://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid= 20071116044700AAoXkt1http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyclic_voltammetry
