So my interest in computer science was ultimately not limited to classroom and college life. It was when I visited my friend's software company that builds essential components of a smartphone application for the government. Rightfully so, simply watching my friend work gave me a totally new perspective on how certain things work and even how business operates on a broader spectrum. I was immediately fascinated by the computer systems in his workplace, which really piqued my interest in computer science. I always remember the feeling of wanting to know how computers worked, why they worked, and what else they could do.
