Anorexia nervosa is when people begin to have a distorted self-image, which is maintained by the way the affected individual accesses their body and their consumption ( Cooper, 2005). Participants assigned to my experimental group will watch a 30-minute video showing a positive association with healthy eating habits or negative associations with anorexia nervosa, or a combination of both. The controlled group will not have any media presentations in the study. I will use random assignment to assign participants to groups by naming individual schools that will be placed into a program that will randomly choose which scenarios they will be placed into. I believe the most effective treatment is when I show both positive association with healthy eating habits and negative association with anorexia nervosa. This would be significant as it would allow us to further investigate the implications that media have on behavior; as well as psychology and the media. One limitation of this study is that we will not be able to control for the media participants view outside of school. Another limitation is ensuring that participants actually pay attention to media presentations
