Uses rhetoric effectively and to influence a group of delegates in his favor. It uses logos to establish its credibility, pathos to excite the audience, and logos to show logic and offer examples of why the war was necessary. The other form of rhetoric he uses are schemes and clichés. These are used to provide examples, in the form of allusions and metaphors. Also to excite the audience with repetition. Patrick Henry's main stipulation is that if the colonies do not resist and fight for their independence, they will fall and become enslaved and/or killed. Considering the options, his speech influenced the votes he led to the fight for independence. Analyzing his speech he uses a combination of rhetoric to show that he was credible and that the war was necessary and happening. This speech changed the outcome of history and will be remembered
