Workers' work was becoming less extensive and less necessary, leaving the proletariat struggling to find and keep jobs. Goods were becoming much easier to produce, but as production became easier to accomplish, proletarians benefited even less from their labor. The economy was created by the labor of the proletariat, but the benefits of this labor were enjoyed only by the wealth of the bourgeoisie in the form of private income.
