Topic > Personal Experience: The Best Life Role Models

An inspirational role model is one of the key elements that help shape us into who we are today. For years I have kept a list of “best life models”. My parents, Anne Frank, Helen Keller, Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King Jr., Nick Vujicic, Walt Disney and many other people are on the list. I occasionally read books and articles about my role models to remind myself how to be a better person. There are thousands of studies focusing on people like Mother Teresa and Martin Luther King Jr., but I'd like to share one of my favorite role models: Nick Vujicic. Vujicic is honestly one of the happiest people on Earth. He lives his life joyfully despite being born without limbs. He lives as if he has no limits; he accepted it as part of his life. In one of his books Life Without Limits: Inspiration for a Ridiculous Good Life, Vujicic inspires millions of readers with his real-life experiences. I had never understood the true meaning of “life without limits” until I read this book: to live without limits, we should always have a positive attitude. No matter how difficult the obstacles we face, we are not alone and God will always be with us. Vujicic is an excellent role model. A positive role model inspires us in many positive ways. Their exceptional success and the things they have done are widely respected. They are the ideal examples to admire; a good model illustrates positive actions. Our observation makes us want to be better people. Let's learn from them and hope that one day we can become one of them. These are the positive role models. Negative role models are not great examples to emulate; however they can give us practical wisdom in the approach. Many people assume that since… middle of paper… with our tenacity and beliefs, nothing is impossible. We all need some role models to show us the right way, a good role model illustrates good behavior and skills that people can emulate. Learning more from Vujicic has helped me better understand how to appreciate what I have. It's easy to find decent role models around us: they could be your family members, your neighbor, your professor, your boss, and even the homeless person you meet every day on your way home. They don't necessarily have to be a famous person, they could be anyone you look up to, respect and look up to. I have always believed that good role models can influence us in many positive ways; they help us transform into a better person. Do you have a list of models you admire? You have a role model who encourages and motivates you when you are unhappy or lost??
