Topic > Compare and contrast Luther King's letter from A...
Martin Luther King and Lao-Tzu belong to different periods in world history, but they were both great philosophers whose differences stem from their fundamental beliefs. According to Lao-Tzu, the way humanity can achieve happiness is by connecting with nature and letting things go. On the other hand, Martin Luther King believes that people, as human beings, have the ability to control evil and correct the defects of the world. It seems difficult to find similarities in both lyrics and points of view, but upon deep reflection it seems that there are some themes that can be interpreted similarly in both.
