Uganda, formally known as the Republic of Uganda, is a poverty-stricken country plagued by economic instability. Since the 1980s the economy has remained on a fairly steady growth path, but many have doubts about whether growth will continue. Uganda will never achieve a stable economy if it does not make changes to its infrastructure. To implement these changes and maintain economic progression, Uganda will need 1) greater government resolve to end corruption, 2) commitment to improving weak educational reforms, and 3) a decrease in export vulnerability. Fortunately, the country is experiencing a much-needed evolution in the field of telecommunications, which could be the biggest contributing factor to the improvement of the economy. For decades, Uganda's economy has suffered from disappointing economic policies and instability. These setbacks have been driven by a chronically untrustworthy government, making it one of the poorest countries in the world. Uganda's weak infrastructure and corrupt government are two of the main obstacles to continued economic growth. Uganda has ongoing military involvement in the war on Congo, mistakenly taking money from the already deprived country and investing it in the war. Many villages in Uganda are also forced to waste precious time and money looking for hiding places. They are faced with a group known as the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA). The LRA is infamous for its two decades of massacres and massacres in Uganda, which left an estimated 1.5 million people internally exposed. Many people wonder why the LRA is still terrorizing the country and criticize the government's commitment to putting an end to this horrific group.
