The signing of the Declaration of Independence occurred on July 4, 1776 in Philadelphia. The political leaders of all thirteen states gathered in Philadelphia's Independence Hall also come to an agreement on a list of rules that would change the lives of every American and create a better future. I believe this is one of the most important events that had the greatest impact on America. There were a total of fifty-five political leaders who signed the Declaration of Independence, written by Thomas Jefferson. Thomas Jefferson was the man who took everyone's ideas about what America should be and wrote them down. all the men involved in signing the Declaration of Independence were practically signing up to be hanged. they were going full blast, if this document had not passed they would all have died and America would never have been able to move forward as the great nation it is today. if it had passed, they would all have seemed like geniuses and would have all been involved in developing America's future and declaring its freedom from Great Britain. The Declaration of Independence was a document that would help America declare its freedom from Great Britain. the declaration had 27 amendments that all had a great impact on America, but I think this article was the one that had the greatest impact "we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are gifted from their creator of certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” I believe this part of the article has the greatest value in the development of the Americas states that all men are created equal and have equal rights.that means no matter what race or gender you are, you should have the same rights as everyone else in... middle of paper... recover, because most colonies had financial problems were basically forced to sign it because if they didn't, they would have to help Britain with war expenses after gathering all the votes and information after the war it was all clear and ready to sign the document and send it to be declared the United States. on April 4, 1776. after the signing of the Declaration of Independence America flourished with its new government and new amendments. America finally managed to declare war on England to gain full freedom and after winning the war it was all uphill. If those 56 members of Congress hadn't met in Independence Hall in Philadelphia and had the courage to risk their lives for the better of their country and to make America the best it could be, then we wouldn't be the great country we are today.
