Nowadays humanity has the resources and technology to work towards reaching those stars. However, given the many failures of space travel in the years since we attempted to reach the stars, many people consider it a waste of resources and money to fund space travel. We must ignore these failures and continue to fund human space exploration. Many people argue that there are better things to do with money, like stopping our problems on Earth instead of going into space. Many of the problems that people think we should solve are world hunger, disease and the environment. The problem with this idea is that these problems are unstoppable; these problems have always occurred and will always occur. For example, if we stopped world hunger, many other problems would arise, such as over-farming and overpopulation. Furthermore, if we stopped the diseases, new and stronger strains of bacteria and viruses would arise, stronger and more aggressive; a good example of this is the fact that the excessive use of hand sanitizers and antibacterials has led to the development of superbugs that are immune to our current medications. Earth's environment can only support a limited number of people, and investing money won't help. NASA helps solve the world's problems by providing us with information about global warming and the ozone layer and also tracking dangerous weather conditions, which saves many lives. Humanity as a whole needs to think about long-term things. The human population is constantly increasing faster and faster and therefore... middle of paper......stones and pesticides. Space travel has also created little things that are used in our daily lives, like tires that last longer and memory foam. Funding space travel would allow humans to open their eyes to the universe and literally allow us to reach for the stars. The universe opens its hand to us and offers to show us all its wonders and beauty and all we have to do is take it. We would be able to expand the human population to the stars; We could see new worlds; We may finally know if we are truly alone. The Earth is a small base, a springboard to use to immerse ourselves in the depths of the universe and visit galaxies millions of light years away.Bibliography1.
