REGGIEThis is Reggie. Reggie was a victim of society. He felt he had no choice but to abuse drugs because his life was too much to bare. No one was there to help him and no one cared how he felt until it was too late. He died alone in this cold-hearted world, parched from the excessive amount of ecstasy in his mouth, feeling unmatched and unloved by anyone. It's unfortunate that our youth turn to drugs to solve their problems, but sometimes they feel like they have no choice. I hope his death is a lesson to everyone about how drugs can affect your life and how family is very important. Now all people can say about Reggie is, "Reggie was so young and had so much to live for." “Reggie was never the same after his mother died.” “Such a smart boy, it's a shame that such a smart boy dies because of stupid decisions.” “How could this happen to him?” This is his story….Reggie Johnson was born on March 16, 1996. In the Flatbush Projects in Brooklyn, New York. His story begins one Friday in the dilapidated apartment complex where he lived with his brother. His mother had died because she was mistaken for one of the prostitutes who roam the area. He took to drugs which hastened his death. He became belligerent towards friends and family over money so he could drink and smoke weed. He needed a way to escape the lifestyle he was living. His father was abusive towards him. You could tell he was very bitter towards Reggie. She didn't accept him for who he was. It's pretty unclear why his father neglected him considering he was such a good boy. Reggie before his death was an honor student, destined to succeed in whatever career field he chose. He excelled in class, but he didn't... middle of paper... he dropped out of school because he was very stubborn. No, he lived on the streets without a home, without friends and without family. It was really him. He had nothing to show off. He had nothing. But the two cents in your pocket. He began to follow the wrong path and the crowd. He started doing heroin. He has learned that quality street heroin is invariably heavily adulterated, but the extent of this varies greatly from area to area and from dealer to dealer. He would be targeted by other drug addicts who would steal his money and take his belongings. He didn't like them because they weren't very sociable. All they did was smoke, drink and steal. They stole Reggies food. Food Reggie himself had stolen from the church's food drive. They beat him with glee and consumed every last bit of him. The days passed and Reggie smoked more and more. He began smoking heroin and ecstasy and eventually died.
