There is currently a niche in the market for creating a new business model, as it is a battle of art VS commerce at the moment. SynopsisSquare one produces everything under one roof. It will be the change the industry is looking for. The starting point is the revolution in which commerce and art can work together and profit equally. By physically putting everything under one roof, the message is that we can all work together. We will produce a documentary to show the world the current situation of the sector. Many artists have openly spoken about being treated unfairly by their label and/or management. We would like to bring all this together to present it to the mass audience and hope for a change. We would like to start a distribution channel that gives more to the artist and less to a company like iTunes that makes huge profits without any input into the work it profits from. The first square is an industrial factory space that will be transformed into a music company. It will include 3 levels. The first level is the live music space where regular shows can be held, as well as branching out into a recording studio out back and some rehearsal rooms where bands can rent and rehearse. We will also have a store on this level that will feature records that have been recorded at Square One and artists that have performed at the venue. It will serve as an independent record store that will hold exclusivity of the items stocked there.
