Topic > Progression vs Conservation: From the Perspective of…

The act of balancing progression and conservation in third world countries takes a certain amount of time. This should be the vision of all developing countries and is not difficult to achieve if all parties are willing to put in the effort. Certainly this process will not have immediate effects in the midst of rampant industrial development and economic progression among third world countries in the 21st century. (“The Economics vs. Environment Debate,” n.d.) There appears to be a conflict between the act of progressing in terms of development and conservation. Our world has changed rapidly over the past decade. This is due to the fact that the industrial revolution took place towards the end of the 18th century, spanning the span of the beginning of the 19th century. (“The Economy vs. Environment Debate,” n.d.) The Industrial Revolution brought about new manufacturing processes and the transition from manual production and handling methods to mechanized and automated methods with the help of machines. The rise of machines and factories gave rise to mass production, which eventually led to various environmental threats. (“The Industrial Revolution and Its Impact on Our Environment | Ecological Issues,” n.d.) Other significant changes include the drastic conversion from an agrarian and rural society to an industrial society, the improvement of transportation systems with the invention of gasoline engines steam as well as the emerging industrial materials of iron and textiles. The invented machines were more purposeful, and help in many production processes led to a significant increase in the standard of living of some levels of society. However, this caused unpleasant employment and exploitation of the working class and peasants... middle of paper... labor exchange by tourists from developed countries. Aside from that, preserving the natural environment would increase the likelihood of foreign investors moving into their land. There is no need to make a choice between environmental conservation and the development of third world countries at all. With an intelligent and sustainable policy it is not impossible to promote economic growth and simultaneously carry out environmental protection. Natural ways of improvising are one of the best approaches to promote economic progression and conserve the environment at the same time. A very striking example is the increase in temperature caused by factories which has led to a condition where fish are no longer able to survive. Moving the factory is not a smart idea as it would hinder economic growth and if local fishermen and farmers implement
