During the destruction of World War II, there was one day in particular that shook America forever and that was December 7, 1941, a day that many of us do not they would remember to consider the fact that we are not yet born. But the people who were alive and had to live, who witnessed this atrocity, accounted firsthand for the numerous casualties that occurred on both the American and Japanese sides in this attack. This day of notoriety is a key piece of the puzzle of America and how America became the great power it is today, demonstrating that we are united, a global and militarily powerful force. Get an original essay Before the attack on Pearl Harbor, the United States of America had not yet engaged in the second part of the ongoing global and militarized attacks; also known as World War II. World War II began when Nazi Germany attacked Poland in September 1973. But the United States of America entered the war when Japan bombed the Hawaiian naval base killing over two thousand people, wiping out all airlines, and grounding numerous ships. The purpose of this from the Japanese perspective was to prevent foreign interference from the United States to prohibit Japan from conquering Southeast Asia and to buy time. But as this attack unfolded, the situation for the Japanese people only worsened, and the worst was yet to come. If the surprise attack on American soil in Hawaii had been successful; then it would be a success for Japan. Which at the time was an enemy of the United States, because it was part of the group called the Axis powers which also included Germany and Italy. The opposition of the Axis powers were the Allied powers. This group consisted of France, Great Britain, the Soviet Union and America. During Pearl Harbor there was a sense of fear among Americans because it was a huge attack on American soil that was catastrophic. But what really defines the significance of the attack on Pearl Harbor is the moment in which our nation was struck down; it was the ability of the soldiers and the people of the country to unite and work together and counterattack the enemies with double the force despite the circumstances. Showing how the nation had unity and a proud sense of patriotism. Proving that it sends a message to other nations that the United States of America is a force to be reckoned with, because the definition of a nation is the very first word in the name: united. As Americans we are united, we influence and influence each other in this melting pot of a nation to be more culturally diverse and we all shape the nation together. Pearl Harbor was influential in bringing the nation together and demonstrating that as Americans we are one. With the effect of Pearl Harbor involving the United States in the ongoing war, it influenced America to become a powerful fighting force against the opposition. Expanding our forces abroad, thus helping the country's status as a world power, through the effort to mobilize troops around the world to fight the battle. Showing others around the world that as Americans as a nation we are willing to fight to protect ourselves and our rights. With this action the United States secured its title as a world power. Being a world power, means a country that can influence other nations by exerting great force on other countries around the world when it comes to politics, finance, economy and military. Pearl Harbor is considered an opening for entryof the United States in World War II. Four days after Pearl Harbor, Italy and Germany declared war on the United States on December 11, 1941, thus fully including the United States in World War II. World War II had effects on other countries and the world, but the United States was the only country to leave the war in good military shape. The United States established a permanent wartime alliance called NATO; which is the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. This has helped America with the presence of a global police force to preserve peace internationally because it is a characteristic and responsibility of being a world power. Over the years, the actions of nearly a century ago have made America one of the most connected countries in the world. Since the United States of America has influence over other countries, this provides an asset to our nation when it comes to matters related to trade and allies. After Pearl Harbor, American forces counterattacked the Japanese Arial attack four years later. August 6, 1945 atomic bomb code name ''Little Boy''; by American troops it was dropped on the city of Hiroshima, located southwest of Honshu, Japan. Which was the first nuclear bomb ever deployed in wartime globally with 15 kilotons of TNT bases on uranium. Three days later, on August 9, 1945, the Japanese city of Nagasaki was also bombed. Both of these bombings were a major catastrophe for the Japanese people. The bomb dropped on the city of Hiroshima called Little Boy killed approximately one hundred and forty-six thousand people. The bomb dropped on Nagasaki, called “Fat Boy”, killed approximately sixty-four thousand people. But the death toll did not stop there for Japan because the bombs were nuclear and resulted in a high death toll for the Japanese people. Which continued to increase as the days went by. Because even though some of the people survived the explosion, the people close to it suffered due to the effect of the deadly and dangerous chemicals that were introduced into their bodies exponentially. The effects were so severe that some people developed deadly lung cancer in Japan, and it is shocking to know that they are still being felt today. Due to these bombings, the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were completely inhabitable for many civilians and the people living there and surviving had to be located, resulting in a severe blow to the Japanese. But this reaction to the cause of the bombing showed people all over the world the power of the United States, and it also helps the United States to know not to deploy bombs with such disastrous force, because it caused many casualties to many innocent people who were not involved in the ongoing world war in the country of Japan. Some might say that if Japan did not attack the United States it would help the world war; but without this event the war of World War II would have dragged on. So, if this were to happen, we would run the risk of losing even more lives than in the attack on Pearl Harbor, Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Even after the American attacks of the two atomic bombs “little boy” and “fat boy”, there is a total ceasefire and the use of atomic bombs in the world. The memory of these events used as precedent was enough to prevent another world war. Pearl Harbor had effectively begun the end of World War II in a historical timeline. That said: "Pearl Harbor has not only shaped the United States but partly the world because it provides enormous influence on other nations the danger of nuclear war" as said in: "Attack on Pearl Harbor - 1941". claim that Pearl Harbor, 2017.
