Caroline Weber is the author of the 2006 book "Queen of Fashion: What Marie Antoinette Wore to the Revolution", she is a specialist of the eighteenth-century most of the French literature and their culture. This to me seems like something women would do to impress their man and if their man was richer they would try to stand out, so their husbands don't leave them. It also makes me think that in the past as well as today we as women have to appear representable to ourselves and our spouse, I think people still have that mentality that women are just something to be looked at and adored and from what I have experienced women is taken for granted as it was in the past then Marie Antoinette was still alive no one wanted some woman telling him what to do! And, of course, it bothers the man as he represents himself as the head of the family. I loved her passion for fashion and how her clothes can say more about what she thinks about politics. Marie Antoinette was known as a great fashion expert, everyone wanted to be like her! Some women have even made their man fail. After the man began to complain about not having any more money, Marie Antoinette was indicted for illegality and sexual license, this happened because the women, after having spent their husband's money, went to look for other lovers. Women were going crazy and wanted to be just like the queen, wear her hairstyle and beautiful dresses which were very expensive, so they had to spend a lot of money to be able to look like Marie Antoinette. Regina, she was an inspiration to women who were tired of staying at home raising kids and looking good for their man, they wanted to be known for their work and they wanted to be heard. But later, in 1785, the case of the diamond necklace occurred. The queen's reputation, already tarnished by gossip, was ruined by the accusation that she had participated in a crime to defraud the crown jewelers of the cost of a very expensive diamond necklace.
