The relationship with my grandparents holds a special place in my heart. Since both my parents are Serbian, my grandparents and most of my relatives are in Serbia, including my aunt Eva and cousins Adrian and Villiam. Like my grandparents, I have fond memories of my aunt and cousins, but not to the extent that my grandparents are... special. Since I lived in Hungary until I was 5, it was difficult to visit my grandparents regularly because we didn't have a car and had to walk everywhere. When we arrived in Serbia we usually stayed at my grandparents' house. Since I am the firstborn of my other relatives I have always been examined under a giant microscope, not badly but with more attention. To be honest, I don't remember much about years 1-5, but after moving to Scotland I remember a lot more about my visits to Hungary and Serbia as I wasn't just crossing the border, I was flying, which for some reason is easier to remember .Say no to plagiarism. Get an original essay I was 5 years old when I moved to Scotland and I honestly don't remember much about the plane ride, all I know is that we started living with Laszlo, my father's friend. Lazlo lived in Tillibody and I went to nursery there too until we moved to Alloa when I was 7-8. At that point I still couldn't speak much English and relied on my mom or dad to translate for me. It wasn't until I reached Primary 1 in Sunnyside that I started to learn and understand English. This is when I met the friends I still have today. Around the time I was in P4 I was starting to speak English quite fluently at school and Hungarian at home with my parents, but this was also when my father couldn't find work and had to return to Hungary to find one. a job, this led to my parents separating from a long distance relationship. I would still see my dad once every 1-2 years for a week max as he still needed to work. When I was in P6 I was told I would be seeing my grandparents for the first time in about 5-6 years, so it was understandable that I was over the moon and bouncing off the walls at home. It was time to go see my family for the first time in 5-6 years, so my mom and I took a plane to Budapest and were picked up by my dad at the airport and taken to his house in Szeged (where I grew up). My mother stayed in the hotel for a day and the next day she left for Scotland and left me with my father for a week. We stayed in Szeged for a few days and on the third day we got into the car and set off like a rocket towards Serbia, tied to our grandparents. My grandparents live in a town in Serbia called Subotica (where both my parents went to school and grew up), this is a good and bad thing as every time we visited we crossed the border between Hungary and Serbia, it would have taken longer 3 hours in the car waiting to enter Serbia. Once we crossed the border, we began our journey to Subotica. When we arrived in Subotica we went to my aunt's house to see my cousin Adrian (at that time my second cousin Villiam had not yet been born) and my aunt Eva (who always cried when she saw me for the first time in years). Relationship with my grandparents I have a much closer bond.
