Topic > Adventure Essay: The Cable Car - 711

The cable car lurched forward unsteadily. He stopped. The ancient cables begin to corrode. The thirty people inside screamed and screamed in terror. They started to panic! The cable car began to move as it went along. The boy who was watching fearfully noticed that the cable car said "Attention; 25 people maximum" His body began to tremble and tremble more and more. The boy was about five feet seven inches tall, with dark hair and brown eyes. The freezing weather was bothering him, even as he tried to get a move on, he even tried to rub his hands together to keep warm. Jim noticed the cable car overhead. The cable car began to sway under the terrible wind. The shouting and screaming became tumultuous and became deafening. The thunderous wind rocked the cable car back and forth. The thirty are now desperately crying out for help! Jim was trying to understand what the woman in the cable car was saying. The women had dark hair, with what appeared to be blue eyes; it was hard to tell from that distance. The woman was saying "Call..." Jim couldn't understand what the woman was saying. Jim shouted sorry, racing the roaring wind. She said again, "Call the..." He still couldn't understand what she was telling him to do. He screamed again, this time luckily he understood what the woman had said. She ordered him to call 911. Jim didn't have a cell phone, what would he do? Jim looked up, the immense gust causing the cable car to move again. It was pretty quick; the ancient cables could no longer support the weight and began to disjoin. The cable now has a "V" shape with the weight of the passengers. Jim ran as fast as he could, his fluffy black jacket almost flew behind him like a superman, he ran and ran as fast as he could, Jim was panting and breathing heavily but he didn't stop until he finally got to the reception office.
