An interesting thing Arthur said “And we have meditations on the meaning of technology, and technology as determining --- or not determining --- human history. But we have no agreement on what the word “technology” means, no general theory of how technologies arise, no deep understanding of what “innovation” consists of, and no theory of the evolution of technology.” (Arthur, 13) Arthur is trying to convey that there is no real meaning to technology because of all the different things that technologies do. Arthur comments on his theories about technology and provides information to the reader about what he is trying to say, he also uses outside sources that relate to what he is trying to say.
