Church Why anyone would want to go through life without knowing and understanding their purpose is beyond me, as is the case with hundreds of millions of people around the world. How is it possible that Christianity has become the most widespread religion in the world? It did not appeal to the souls of millions because of its grandeur, but because it appealed to something that billions of people around the world struggle with. He proposed an answer to many of the problems in our lives. The church is open to all who wish and offers a place to discover life's purpose and develop a sense of self-worth and appreciation, which will then teach you how to live a fulfilling life. One of the many Benefits of going to church and becoming a Christian is understanding your purpose for being on earth and understanding how to live your life with maximum satisfaction and achieve joy while preserving your morals. Although all human beings are innate with the need to achieve pleasure, the main difference between those of the world and those of the church is the means and ways of achieving this goal. The deviation arises from the difference in the types of pleasure each person aims to obtain. Many of the world's pleasures conflict with our conscience, our morals, and the teachings of the Church. It is these conflicting actions that lead many non-Christians to be dissatisfied and unhappy. “Many unchurched people desperately try to convince themselves that they are happy. They deceive everyone but themselves. Or they know they are not happy and try to drown their pain in drinking, drugs, sports, work or something else to take their mind off the unhappiness” (Gritters). This feeling of dissatisfaction leads thousands and thousands of people to suffer from d...... halfway ...... they have started the process of becoming a better person. Those who practice Christianity pride themselves on having higher levels of joy and happiness in life, regardless of the circumstances they face. “A person who is truly a Christian, a person who regularly studies, practices, and teaches the gospel of Jesus Christ, experiences a fullness of joy despite the difficult adversities he may face in his life” (Smith). To help many people around the world find the joy and happiness of becoming a Christian, churches have worked hard to give top priority to “Strive to be an “open-door” church that actively reaches out and welcomes all people.” (NBUMC). Church is a place where many come to find a sense of belonging, comfort, and purpose. It is through these three qualities that they have attracted and retained many believers over the years.
