Sometimes you have to be patient to start a conversation with someone who is older or younger than you. And I can guarantee you will be amazed. On 02/04/2015 I conduct this interview with my grandmother and I learned a lot about my grandmother since grandparents are the link to our past. Grandparents are there to teach us life lessons and offer us unconditional love. I am lucky to have such a wonderful and strong grandmother. People who still have both grandparents alive are lucky. My grandmother Fatmah adds so much joy to my life because of her warm heart. Especially when I'm sad I find comfort by visiting her and for me she is irreplaceable. This interview was done to explore my grandmother's life. “It's true, in the past women played an important social role. While men should leave the house for a long time to work." Women were mostly at home and were responsible for taking care of their children and husband. Women also knitted and embroidered. Those who worked in that period were rare and especially in the field of education. In my opinion I took care of my family and provided them with food through growing various crops. Allah gave me two girls and two boys and as parents we made sure to raise our children right and know their worth because Allah will ask us later. But things have completely changed. Nowadays parents depend more on maids and let them raise their children. And women now occupy an important role in society and hold positions in government. “In different years of my life I had different plans for the future, but some of my plans are always the same and Inshallah I will fulfill them.” I really want to build a mosque in India for your grandfather and also go to Mecca every Ramadan and my wish is to die in Mecca. After reaching this age I want to see my grandchildren succeed in their lives and achieve
