Therefore, it will be significant to review some of the strategies that can contribute to the reading success of diverse students in the classroom. For example, once the effective teacher has determined what each student is ready to learn, he or she must connect students' learning needs to effective teaching strategies that consist of designing lesson plans. All of this must start on the first day of school. Additionally, teachers must know how to clearly communicate expectations and rules within a positive classroom climate to release any possible fears or stress students may have. Furthermore, teachers must be able to identify through their assessments what learning skills each student has already developed and teach them accordingly, in order to minimize the amount of time taken away from teaching. Then, teachers can emphasize small group teaching to allow students to interact. Additionally, they can track student progress daily using graphs that illustrate small steps of progress so students can visually see their gains.
