My Fair Lady IntroductionMy article will cover the 3 theoretical perspectives of the movie My Fair Lady. I will explain each perspective and then provide some examples from the film itself based on which perspective they belong to. When I did these analyses, the main thing I noticed was how much inequality there is in this world. I think symbolic interactionism fits this movie better because through this movie most people rely on personal interactions with each other and not on institutions. Synopsis My Fair Lady is a film about a flower girl named Eliza Doolittle and a man named Henry Higgins from Phonetics. One night Professor Higgins was in Covent Garden market talking to his friend Colonel Pickering. While Eliza was selling flowers, she heard Higgins and Pickering talking. Higgins told Pickering that he can make anyone fluent in the English language the right way. Eliza later found out where Higgins lived and wanted him to teach her to talk like a real lady in a flower shop. Higgins didn't want to. Pickering was at Higgins' house at the time and bet that Higgins would not be able to teach Eliza to speak like a real lady and make her become a duchess. Higgins bets at that moment. Higgins bets Pickering that he can teach Eliza to speak and become a duchess within 3 months. Over the course of these months Eliza, who has moved into the Higgins house, is subjected to depression lessons. Eliza was finally ready for the big day when her skills would be put to the test. Eliza went to the embassy ball. She was very beautiful, elegant and well-spoken and proved very successful in Higgins and Pickering's bet. She is particularly impressed by a man named Freddy Eynsford-Hill who falls in love with her. After the dance Higgins, Picke...... center of paper...... confusing with theoretical perspectives. I understand them, but when it came to explaining it I was lost. Overall I learned a lot. I mean a lot. I didn't even know that these types of theories existed, because I had never really thought about them from those types of points of view. From these analyzes it appears that there was a lot of feminism within the film. Women were treated very badly especially if they were poor or lower class. It showed me that rich people are sometimes really arrogant and lacking in morals; Higgins suggested that Mr. Doolittle had no morals; Personally I think Higgins had no morals. Before thinking about these prospects I had never noticed how Higgins is so conceited because he is so rich, especially in begging where he can understand where every man is coming from, he shows how high he puts himself, sometimes this happens in the real world.
