Topic > Importance of Formative Evaluation - 806

Didactic evaluation is a precious tool for observing and evaluating the results obtained by students, as well as for verifying the effectiveness of the teaching process and consequently improving it when necessary. on the one hand, teachers evaluate the learning process. They analyze it to detect whether the objectives and key competences have been achieved. A record of the student's progress also provides students, parents and other teachers with feedback on how well they are doing. In this way, students' motivation increases as they have proof of their progress. On the other hand, they evaluate the teaching process. The teacher evaluates his own teaching practice, the materials and methods used in relation to the achievement of the established training objectives in order to review and update the teaching structure of the work. Furthermore, children who need special support can be identified to plan immediate corrective actions. In one of the activities the teacher noticed that one of the students has language problems. Students are required to meet the minimum targets for primary 2 level and key skills designed to be eligible for promotion to the following year. Students with special needs adapt these goals to their problems, but in general, the entire class must achieve these goals. A wide range of tools, materials and techniques are used to carry out the evaluation process. They are tailored to the specific needs of the class and the students as individuals. Two types of assessment are considered: Informal formative assessment. Based on daily observation and recording of student performance. He can check student progress... halfway through the paper... and he's ready to do so. On the one hand, it is difficult to treat students with the same criteria and satisfy the needs of each student because there are many students with their own personal characteristics. Furthermore, at the beginning I found it difficult to deal with students who are less capable than others and need special help. Looking back I would say all my expectations were not met. Apart from that I can say that this internship was very useful and I definitely learned a lot. During the internship I met many people. I met teachers, other university students who are on internships like me and many students. I am very grateful for the support of all of them who helped me from the beginning, integrated me into their group as an extra member and helped me resolve several conflicts.
