Medical activities may include assessment, checking vital signs, helping them eat or walk, administering medications, communicating with doctors, or planning and implementing general health goals . Personal tasks include bathing, communicating with family members, or simply being someone the patient can talk to. Overall, the nurse is available to the patient to help with anything the patient may ask. While this cannot be said for every single nurse, a nurse practitioner should be expected to provide the best care for their patient. This also includes professional communication.
