What inspired me to teach was shaped by my experiences in school life. I was fortunate to have teachers who helped me achieve my goals and prepare me for the larger society. I have thoroughly enjoyed my education and have thrived in every opportunity presented to me, from being a team leader for younger students, to completing my Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award, to being awarded Head Girl. I gained leadership skills and was a positive role model. This further strengthened my ambition to pursue my calling as a teacher. My dedication to sociology has led me to develop a complex and curious understanding of the world; I feel that this knowledge can be shared with students so that they too can see society from other perspectives. Through work experience and observations, I realize that teaching can be challenging due to its physical and emotional demands. I want to increase my students' sociological awareness and spark the same passion I feel for this subject.
