There are over 11 million illegal immigrants living in the United States. With the recent outcry from domestic and foreign citizens over the Arizona bill, a solution is clearly needed to prevent further illegal immigrants from invading our country. We also need mandates to address the more than 11 million illegal immigrants who steal our precious resources. Although we are all descendants of immigrants, with the exception of Native Americans, immigration has been a major source of population growth throughout U.S. history. As it stands, it represents an enormous burden on our weakening economy, especially in the Southern states, where the majority of immigrants flee. Illegal immigrants represent collateral damage to the well-being of our society and our infrastructure. This includes overwhelming population growth for the already overcrowded public school system, increased welfare costs and overburdened emergency rooms having to deliver tethered babies, and a myriad of other medical conditions that strain our emergency rooms. “ Immigration hardliners describe a wave of migrants crossing the border in late stages of pregnancy to have what are disparagingly called still babies (p. 2 para 8). "...Since the mid-1960s, America has welcomed nearly 30 million legal immigrants and welcomed perhaps another 15 million illegal immigrants, numbers unprecedented in our history. These immigrants have harvested our fruits, cleaned our homes, cut our grass, worked in our factories, and washed our cars they even crowded... middle of paper... they increased welfare costs, which uses up our resources and tax dollars which they are intended for Americans. The real beneficiaries of illegal immigrants are companies that take advantage of their willingness to work cheaply and often illegally. Low-cost labor is a gigantic price to pay for the stability of jobs in America our economy and for the entire infrastructure on America to immigrants?
