For the 4th of July my whole family will gather in Kentucky. We have barbecues, the kids play in the pool, I meet awkward family members who don't even know my name but say I've gotten so big since they last saw me. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays; my intermediate family goes to my grandmother's house (mother's side). Three of my cousins, who are around the same age as me and my older brother, also live there with their parents. We all gather together in company, eating multiple portions of turkey, ham, stuffed duck, stuffing, salad, macaroni, fruit salad and at least three different varieties of pie. We all sit around the dining table, sharing stories, reflecting on the past, and treasuring the memories we've made together. While we recover from the huge amount of food we ate, the cousins ride four-wheelers around the property, get in the boat, and compete to see who can catch the most and biggest fish. Family is everything to me, we are all unique in our own way but bonded together
