Introduction Lean process or production is one of the most important aspects for any manufacturing company. This is because adapting to the lean process can save time, money, decrease waste and increase productivity. However, given the high competition of the 21st century, most manufacturers have evolved with lean manufacturing to become market share leaders. So, the purpose of this case study is to understand the lean process and how it helps Jaguar, one of the most prestigious automakers, rebuild and regain its market share. Jaguar has been producing its cars for over 90 years. In those years, Jaguar consolidated its corporate image to become one of the most prestigious car manufacturers in the world. However, by the early 1990s, the automaker had rapidly lost market share and production levels. As a result, Jaguar had to renew its company with new technologies and new models. At the end of the 1990s the company renewed itself by introducing new models (S-Type and X-Type) and adapting to the Lean production process. Jaguar and the lean processJaguar is the benchmark for luxury sedans; However, in the early 1990s the Jaguar Company went through a period of financial instability when the Ford Motor Company purchased it. As a result, Ford made many changes throughout the Jaguar Company. One of the most important changes was the adaptation of Jaguar's manufacturing facilities to the Lean process. However, as for the first production models in this new system, the Jaguar Company came up with new models called the Jaguar X-Type and S-Type. Lean manufacturing process is not a new topic now, although it is an impression process. However, many companies are adapting to this process as it allows them to compete with the market. The lean manufacturing process allows companies to produce a product with less waste... half as much paper... plus, for the first time in Jaguar's history, the manufacturing facility brought together nearly all manufacturing facilities under one location . As a further result of adapting to the lean manufacturing system, Jaguar has also renewed or found new suppliers to supply materials on time and in the right quantities of materials. Conclusion The lean manufacturing process is one of the most revolutionized processes of the century. Furthermore, it allows manufacturers to reduce waste and unwanted time; therefore, increase productivity and quality based on customer expectations. Although Jaguar went through a difficult period in the early 1990s, adapting to the lean manufacturing system, he rebuilt the company to be better in every way. Furthermore, thanks to the lean manufacturing system, Jaguar has currently significantly increased its market share around the world.
