Welcome to the new world where gender roles are blurred and almost invisible. It must seem impossible that such a world could exist, but it can, when men and women can be seen as equal in all fields and gender roles are erased. There is a great disorder in the force that has lived longer than any human being and they call it gender stereotyping. Over time the name has changed, but the most memorable names for gender roles or stereotypes are the boys' and girls' codes. These codes now define human beings, like that man in one corner and the woman in another. Due to gender roles established years ago, there appears to be discrimination within the community if that person does not force the action. There is discrimination against men and women and it seems like they are at war because of the injustice they may have suffered. Both genders will continue to suffer injustices if ignorance of gender roles continues to be the backbone of life. Eventually there will be a change in stereo types. Gender stereotypes have harmed communities by pushing people into a corner. Both genders should be treated equally because they have something in common, humanity. Gender roles have been defined and it seems almost impossible to move the role ladder for men and women. Men should be strong and women should be fragile. Michael Kimmel said that when he asks young women what they think it means to be a woman, they give him a puzzled look and basically say what they wish. Yes, that's right, both males and females have the ability to choose. I remember times when I thought being a man meant I had to be brash, burly and beyond, but eventually I was able to perceive that they were titles given by force. The titles still affect me today and cause me distress when I know the stereotype may not apply
