Section One: There has been a viral pandemic outbreak affecting the vast majority of planet earth. I am part of a small group who fled to the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York to survive. The viral outbreak started in Hawaii and was picked up by tourists and became a pandemic that slowly spread across the planet and picked up speed. The virus affects the central nervous system and brain, the host becomes ill and dies within 1-2 weeks. Once the host is dead, the virus, almost like a nudge, activates the brain on the basic function of any living creature, which is hunger, and these now reanimated humans will feast on any living thing around them. I was with my friends one day when we heard about a viral pandemic that was spreading across the country. We were at school when the news broke, the journalist was talking about the pandemic. The scientist who created the virus that was spreading was called to talk about it. He explained that he was trying to create a cure for cancer and that one of his colleagues accidentally put the wrong virus into the cure. The virus has completely taken over the treatment. As they tried to get rid of it, the glass slipped from their hands and broke. The janitor came to clean up and they assume he contracted the virus while cleaning. They went on to explain what the virus does and explain that once you contract it you get really sick and die within 1-2 weeks. They made it clear that the virus was contagious. My friends and I didn't know what to think. The journalist advised everyone to stay at home, avoid sick people and wear masks to cover their nose and mouth because the virus spreads through the air. We have decided to leave school...... middle of paper ......or is to carry out certain activities within the group to relieve our depression and the stress caused by it. There are many types of psychological therapies available. The type of psychological therapy I would most likely choose to deal with mental issues while surviving is talk therapy. I would choose talk therapy because it gives the person a chance to talk about how they feel and what they think. Another reason why I would choose talk therapy is because commonly there is always a lack of communication within groups in a stressful situation. Talk therapy would help boost group morale and alleviate some of the depression members may have. The final reason I would choose talk therapy is because it could dissuade someone from a dangerous situation and it is always critical to keep any members you have within a group to keep it strong.
