It's that time again. The time when we are bombarded with political ad after political ad during presidential campaign season. Every four years we are inundated with different ads from our presidential candidates trying to get our vote. We see many different types of ads, whether it's a candidate trying to strengthen himself or take down his opponent. There are many different techniques used to send hidden messages to voters. These different techniques have proven to have an effect on voters and continue to show up time and time again in our presidential campaigns. The first element that is taken into consideration is the authors' logic. Logic is the title of the article and is what will draw the reader's attention to. Imagine at the top of the page in bold, twenty font, this title “YouTube-ification of Political Talk: An Examination of Persuasion Appeals in Viral Video”. What immediately catches the eye is the length of the title. The title may seem long and drawn out, but it gives the reader a very specific topic of the article. Now looking deeper, the combined word “YouTube-ification” also has a unique meaning. What's the point of using a word that doesn't exist? It indicates that the author has provided readers with the best title that describes the article. The methodology used in the journal was taken from what gives the impression of a full-proof experiment. This study used a “three-cell posttest” which would further explain subliminal messages in advertising campaigns. Possible candidates for the search come from two of the fifty-two American states. They were singled out and told they would have strict confidentiality. This created a form of trust that allows participants to... middle of paper ......or the different appeals. YouTube is one of the fastest growing websites in the world. This is a new form of communication not only for political information but for any area of development. Technology is helping political campaigns spread faster than ever before. With this new technology, the dynamics of communication will change drastically in the coming years. There are many methods used in advertising that are very effective and that we may not always catch. Most subliminal messages are retrieved when we are not 100% focused on what we are looking at. But how often do we watch television or listen to the radio with 100% concentration? Not very often. This is why political ads are so effective. They use these effective methods and attack us while our defenses are down. Hopefully, with this newfound knowledge, you will never fall again
