Tears of sadness, fear, but above all of anger. As I read the stories in the book I couldn't resist but put myself in the shoes of many of those victims who made me feel pain and disgust. I can't even imagine my little sisters in a situation like this. It disgusts me to know that there are people who pay to have sex with a child, what kind of human beings are they? I cannot resist the thought that as I am writing this reflection there are millions of children forced to sell their innocence. Despite my ignorance towards this topic I know that I cannot stand still. And I hope that one day victims of sex trafficking will be reunited with a life that does not require them to sell their bodies but, instead, a life that will show them that they are human beings after all.
