The true definition of a ghost is the soul or spirit of a deceased individual that may appear in visible form or other manifestations to the living. Ghosts are the most common paranormal belief in the world. Most people believe in ghosts because of a personal experience, whether it's seeing or sensing an unexplained presence. Who wouldn't want to believe that our beloved family members are looking for us? Along with ghosts come stories and eyewitnesses. When it comes to hard evidence, the paranormal world doesn't have a good track record. The only evidence of the reported paranormal experience is eyewitnesses or images. Every area of ​​the paranormal relies deeply on the testimony of eyewitnesses. “Eyewitness testimony will often be the only evidence offered in a court of law” (Chambers). If an eyewitness is acceptable in a court of law, then why can't an appearance be acceptable? On September 19, 1936 the “brown lady” was sighted once again. Colonel Loftus was visiting Raynham Hall in England for the holidays when he saw the dark-haired lady. He told others about his experience and other people came forward to say that they too had seen a strange figure. Immediately after this experience, a photo was taken. The photo of the brunette lady is "believed to be one of the best and most convincing ghost photos known" (Dennis & Cohen). Another ghost sighting occurred in 1919, of the Goddard squadron which had served in the First World War.
