Hassan lives his life being loyal to Amir. He always stated to Amir “for you, a thousand times” that he meant every word. He sacrificed himself for Amir his whole life and never expected anything in return. His first words spoken were Amir's name, which shows how much he held Amir close to his heart. The first instance where his loyalty is demonstrated is Amir's encounter with Assef, when he tries to beat him. “You're right, Agha.
