The ten videos I watched were: Coronoa “Shoes”, Coors Light with Ice Cube, Captain Morgan, Bud Light “Swear Jar”, Bud Light “Clothing Drive”, Budweiser “Puppy Love ”, Budweiser “Clydesdale Donkey”, Smirnoff with Pharrell Williams, Jose Cuervo Silver and Patron Silver. Most of the focuses on minors were quite obvious, but some were difficult to recognize. Ten out of ten ads may target people under 21. In the Corona commercial “Shoes” everyone takes off their shoes in the air and drinks a beer as if they were all at the beach. The end of the commercial reads "Find Your Beach" with women in bikinis walking towards some guys holding Coronas. This is attractive to minors because they love the idea of summer, fun and the beach. It might make that group think that all these things would be better with a Crown. The next commercial is Coors Light with celebrity Ice Cube arguing with a bottle of Coors about which of them is colder. Having a celebrity like Ice Cube is enough to make any minor want to grab a Coors Light. Especially when Ice Cube is incredibly popular right now starring in movies like 21 Jump Street and Ride Along. Every underage kid wants to be Ice Cube and drink Coors Light. Third, there was a Captain Morgan commercial, in which the Captain showed off his legendary skills at saving damsels in distress, fighting evil, plundering, and then returning to his pirate ship to have a celebration. The slogan of the commercial was “Live like the Captain”. This commercial is attracting attention for the thrill of adventure. Captain Morgan is a pirate who always gets the girl and every teenager wants the girl. The fourth commercial was Bud Light's "Swear Jar". This was set in a… medium… that they just wanted to look and be cool. There are a lot of references to sex, nudity, animals and pop culture, and these things appeal to the younger group because the ads are cool and everyone does them. Every teenager wants to be cool like a celebrity and have fun by going out with their friends, why not enjoy these moments with alcohol. I especially remember the Budweiser "Puppy Love" commercial because I'm a huge dog lover. What's cuter than a puppy? When it comes to print advertising, I can't think of anyone, but something that does is advertise for NASCAR racing. I think of Kevin Harvick in his uniform with the logo, drinking a Budweiser in victory lane in front of his car with the Budweiser logo. Everywhere you look there is the Budweiser logo. I pay attention to this because Kevin Harvick is one adventurous sports celebrity that I don't mind checking out.
