Hart was more interested in sharing his personal beliefs. I often got the feeling that he was using this book to better himself and his childhood. At the beginning of the book, I cringed reading him talk about his sex education. It seemed more like a look from a narcissistic point of view during his sexual excursions. When he talks about not writing this section to inflate his own ego; it really seemed like he was flaunting his sexual journey to becoming a female actor. The domestic violence he witnessed as a child was hard to read about and tugged at my heartstrings. Her description of her father hitting her mother's head with a hammer and the cops doing next to nothing makes me happy that we have come further on the journey against domestic violence; meaning it is no longer seen as a private matter and if his father had made it known, he would almost certainly have gone to jail. No child should ever witness this
