Searching for documents using keywords is a very common practice. This word-based information retrieval practice is influenced by two complementary issues. The first is that we may get relevant and other irrelevant search results if we use the keyword together with a possible meaning of it for the search. Secondly, if only the title keyword is used, some of the relevant text may be missing as sometimes the text related to that keyword does not quite contain a context of that word. Our goal is to use word sense disambiguation for text classification where all non-stop words will be labeled with their text-related senses in the document and these senses will subsequently be selected as classes for the given document. As a result, there will be a common class for all related text and therefore it can be better searched. We will use WorldNet to extract the correct senses of ambiguous words non-stop. The classification results thus obtained will subsequently be evaluated by comparing them with the classification results of manual disambiguation. Chapter 1 Introduction The explosion of the analog communications industry has led to many developments in transceiver design. The multistandard transceivers used today for these systems should be able to operate over a wide frequency range with minimal amounts of duplicated hardware. A very critical element of any type of transceiver is the frequency synthesizer (FS). A special frequency synthesizer, such as a multi-standard frequency synthesizer, must be able to synthesize different frequency bands for different wireless standards.... middle of paper... cs".
